IPC Hand Soldering Competition - Germany

Hand soldering of high-density PCBAs requires highly skilled & and qualified technicians to meet zero-defect soldering leading to overall assembly reliability.

The Competition

Competitors will have 60 minutes to assemble a complex printed circuit board and will be judged by IPC Master Instructors (MIT) in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 3 criteria. Each competitor (PCBA) will be inspected and rated according to the overall quality of the results achieved, based on:

  • The quality of the assembly process.
  • The overall electrical functionality of the assembly.
  • The speed at which the assembly was produced.

IPC Hand Soldering Regional Qualification

Join, attend, or compete at IPC HSC Regional Qualification Germany: Held at the IPC booth on Tuesday, 14, and Wednesday 15 November.

Skilled soldering experts will compete to be named HSC Germany Champion, and win the 2023 National title on Wednesday afternoon. The top 3 winners will be awarded with cash prizes and the HSC Germany Champion will earn a coveted spot for the World Final the next day.
