Lecture PCB & EMS Speakers Corner > The Cradle of Electronics Industry 4.0 – RFID in the SMT Process and Beyond

14:15-14:35 h | PCB & EMS Speakers Corner, B3, booth 360

Subjects: Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)

Speaker: T. Skoczowski (Bruker)

Type: Lecture

Speech: English

These 2 hours will illustrate how an electronics technology – RFID – applied in the standard SMT process will help to tear down the walls still existing between the different steps in the lifecycle of a product. Turning a product intrinsically into an RFID tag at the PCB production process will allow to identify it at any location and time. A group of industry leaders has joined forces to create a blue print for the whole industry. Learn how to realize completely new digital business models based on a smart PCB. Practical demonstrations will enable participants to understand how RFID can help to create added value over the whole lifecycle of their electronics products.
