“Make In India Mittelstand” (MIIM)

India is today the fastest growing major economy in the world, and a hub for businesses and investment opportunities. The “Make in India” initiative, a major flagship program launched by the Indian government, is providing an open and welcoming business environment to foreign investors and transforming India into a global destination for manufacturing.

Aligned with the Make in India initiative, the Embassy of India in Berlin has launched Make In India Mittelstand (MIIM)—a business support program to facilitate investments in the Indian market for the German and international small and medium-sized businesses.

Since September 2015 the MIIM program has successfully supported over 80 German small and medium-sized companies as exclusive members and facilitated an investment volume of about EUR 700 million.

Indian electronics manufacturing sector

One of the key focus sectors under the Make in India mission is the electronics sector. 65 percent of the current demand for electronics products is actually met by imports, which presents an opportunity for import substitution. Major government initiatives like Digital India, favorable FDI policies, strong domestic demand and rising manufacturing costs in other major manufacturing economies are driving potential for electronics manufacturing in India. In order to provide greater insight into this industry, MIIM supported by Messe München is organizing a special sector-focused workshop on “Opportunities in Indian Electronics Sector” on November 15, 2017 from 15:00–17:00 at productronica.

The event will help you to better understand the industry’s status quo, growth drivers, manufacturing clusters and localization potential of the Indian electronics industry. Participants will also learn about the MIIM program as local fast track for all your investment needs into India.

We are cordially inviting you to join us for this event and request you to confirm your participation.

The workshop will be hold in English. The participation is free of charge.
